This years Unit 5 Workshop under Nicola Gerber with Farida Makki and Stuart Buckingham was a great success.
25 students Nicola Gerber and Farida Makki sampled the very varied delights of contemporary architecture in Berlin.
At the Technical Institiute in Braunschweig students teamed up with their Germany counterparts and produced over 20 models looking at 2 sites Birling Head near Eastborne and Rugen in North East Germany both chalk cliffs and each with its special characteristics and emotive history.
This Easter break continued the exchange when 11 students from Braunschweig visited Unit 5 and worked together with the Nottingham students on individual pieces depicting the key essence of their project this culminated in a suspended exhibition showing over 30 glimpses of what is to come.
