Sextons Cottage was once the Church House to the adjacent St. Pancras Church. This Grade II Listed building is now the Village Hall and a Gift Shop. The building dates from the 16th Century and has had minor alterations and additions from the late 19th Century. Sexton’s House faces a delightfully well enclosed yet un-named village square defined by 3 other Grade II Listed buildings, St. Pancras’ Lytch Gate to the East, Ye Olde Glebe House to the South and The Old Inn to the West. In the centre of this square is the Grade II Listed base on which was mounted the village cross, now the home to a mature yew tree.
To the West of the square is the Grade II Listed Old Inn and when you look East, you see the tower of St Pancras church in the distance:
